News regarding Piny Orchidaceae

It is with great regret that due to scheduling issues, Piny Orchidaceae will no longer be able to attend Infusion Emporium. We know that this is disappointing news, but it is sadly beyond our control. We are pleased to announce, however, that her workshops will be covered by the wonderful Leo Orchidaceae. Leo is an incredible teacher, dancer and person. We know you will be pleased with her classes.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

With best wishes,

VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – VENUE CHANGE

This is a very important announcement regarding Infusion Emporium workshop locations.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to change the venue for all workshops at Infusion Emporium.

Three weeks ago, City of Wolverhampton College cancelled our entire booking, leaving us without anywhere to hold the workshops. We booked this venue 11 months ago, and so it came as a bit of a shock for us to be faced with nowhere to go less than 2 months before the event.

We have been working tirelessly these past three weeks to find a new venue, and finally we have found one!

All weekend workshops and the Soul Movement Intensive will now take place at Coppice Performing Arts School, Ecclestone Road, WV11 2QE. If you have booked tickets on behalf of a friend, please do forward them this information. Show venues have not changed and will still be held at their original venues.

As a result of the change, Alexis Southall’s Thursday evening workshop for the Soul Movement Intensive will now take place at 5:15-7:15pm, instead of 7-9pm.

Please prepare your travel plans accordingly. We hope that this does not cause much inconvenience for you. Coppice Performing Arts School is a 15 minute car drive from Wolverhampton City Centre, and a 30 minute bus ride.

Please note that we are not held responsible for anyone missing workshops due to mistakenly going to the old venue, as we have emailed all participants, announced the change on our Facebook pages and changed the details on our website. As such we have done everything we can to inform participants of this change, and we will not be liable for refunding anyone that goes to the wrong venue in light of this announcement.

We appreciate your understanding surrounding the venue change, as the alternative would have been cancelling the workshops (something none of us want to have happen!)…. We are very grateful to Coppice for accommodating the event at such short notice.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us on infusionemporiumshow@gmail.com

All the best, and see you in October/November! – IE Team

It’s a sell out!

Well…. almost!

After opening bookings for the intensive on 13th February and the weekend festival workshops and shows on the 14th, the vast majority of Infusion Emporium’s events have SOLD OUT!

Here’s some stats for you:

  • The Soul Movement Intensive sold out in less than 30 seconds (it was actually closer to 10 seconds!)
  • 78 people applied for the 25 spaces on the intensive
  • Over 1200 people tried to book workshop and show tickets for the weekend
  • Samantha Emanuel’s workshop was the first to sell out, 4 minutes into the booking process
  • All workshops and the Friday theatre show were old out in under 40 minutes
  • With the amount of people on the waiting list, we could simultaneously run this festival twice over

It’s been a crazy two days for organisers Alexis & Dan. We send our sincere apologies to anyone that didn’t get a workshop or show ticket. We understand that you will be disappointed. We are currently talking to our instructors about the possibility of private lessons during the festival, so if you missed out there is still some hope of training with some of our teachers. We will be sure to keep you up to date here, and on our Facebook page.

If you want to join the waiting list for workshops or show, please email us at infusionemporiumshow (at) gmail.com

And don’t forget, there are 14 tickets left for our Cafe Infusion show on Saturday 1st November, starring Lamia Barbara, Alexis Southall and more; and for the Glitterball Shakedown After Party – the most raucous and fun event in town!

Thanks for your support of Infusion Emporium! Hope to see you in the Autumn!

A&D

  • Failure to pay the deposit by the time specified will forfeit your place on the intensive and the place will be offered to the next person on the list.

Venues Confirmed!

We have confirmed our venues for Infusion Emporium 2014.

We are very lucky and happy to announce that all workshops and the intensive will take place at Wolverhampton City College: Community Sports Centre, Wellington Road.

We have a new show venue, the Arena Theatre, which is slightly larger and centrally located.

A new space is being used within the Newhampton Arts Centre for our Cafe Infusion Stage show, which will serve for our performers, vendors and Question and Answer session.

And with the success of 2013’s Glitterball Shakedown, we will continue to host the Open Stage and Afterparty at the Slade Rooms.

More information and access for the venues can be found here.
